I am picking myself a set for the study, this is a small room of 15m2 (161 square feet).
Requirements for the setup:
- play tidal and other streaming services over the network, it is advisable to play with your own client (I somehow turned on the amplifier with dts play-fi, so while the application is running on the phone, everything plays, if the application is turned off, the amplifier stops playing music)
- play from a computer via USB
- it would be nice to have an airplay
- Very important for me! I listen to music at a low volume, and it is very important that the setup plays clearly in the entire frequency range at low volume. I now listen to music through B&W A7 and I miss that.
Based on my requirements, I found options for dali and kef, but maybe there is something more interesting, and most importantly, I am ready to use an amplifier, I listened with pleasure to quad vienna II play with Dali Opticon 2, although I liked Opticon 6 more for their ribbon tweeter and a sense of air in the sound.
This post aims to get people's opinion on their setups in a similar use case (quietly but loosely).
